My Newest T-Shirt!!!

I've got the turquoise one!!! Not sure why it showed up so small, but the bottom pic shows it much better....Maybe one day I will get brave enough to wear it when we go for ice cream, right now I just sleep in it...still very cute though, funny how I always end up with things like this....my laptop still isn't fixed going outta my mind until it does finally get back to normal again...

I've been going outta my mind cause I don't have my laptop in working order..I finally get on the desktop that is a pain cause it's not mine, with no cam etc etc..and without my music, but at least I can get online and connect...Wow, I was really blown away from all the messages from everyone...thanks...I miss you all sooo muchhh and hope to get my brother in law over here tomorrow sometime so he can pull a few acts of brilliance and work wonders with my laptop, cause I don't know what to do with the thing...I found an article on yahoo that Alaska had a ton of snow dumped on them over the weekend...I'm missing it all cause I am still here...The sun has been out every single day and I"m soooooo sick of seeing it....I hope that it is all still there by this time next month!!! I sooo can't wait!!!! TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT I WILL BE LIVING IN NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I soooooo can't wait to meet my new students when I get there, thrilled beyond anything!!!!!!

Alaska town tries to dig out from huge snow dump

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — The small Alaska fishing town of Cordova is used to dealing with excessive snow — but not like this. Residents have turned to the state to help them dig out of massive snow levels that have collapsed roofs, triggered avalanches and even covered doors, trapping some people in their homes.

"There's nowhere to go with the snow because it's piled up so high," said Wendy Rainney, who owns the Orca Adventure Lodge. A storage building for the lodge — which offers fishing trips, hiking, kayaking and glacier tours — partially collapsed under the weight of the snow, she said.

"This is more quantity than can be handled."

The Alaska National Guard reported more than 18 feet of snow has fallen on Cordova in the past weeks, although the National Weather Service did not immediately have a measurement.

Officials said at least three buildings have collapsed or partially collapsed and six homes are deemed severely stressed by heavy wet snow.

The city has set up a shelter at a local recreation center, but said people leaving homes in avalanche-risky areas have been staying with other residents. Cordova spokesman Allen Marquette said the town also was ready to set up a pet shelter if necessary.

Responders said Sunday that rain fell overnight, making for a slippery, treacherous mess in the Prince William Sound community of 2,000 year-round residents. The region has been pummeled by snow, but Cordova is of particular concern because there is no road access to the town, only boat and plane passage, said Maj. Gen. Thomas Katkus, adjutant general of the Alaska National Guard.

There have been no reported injuries, but bad weather has prevented the Guard from flying to the town, 150 miles southeast of Anchorage. More than 70 Guard members traveled to Cordova on a state ferry Sunday, arriving at 4:30 p.m. About 50 of them will help clear roofs, roads, boats — whatever is the greatest need. The rest will provide other assistance. Also helping out in Cordova are three state emergency workers who were already in town to help the city with emergency response planning.

Katkus said Guard members will be on hand for up to two weeks. "This is an ongoing operation," he told reporters Sunday.

An avalanche brought snow and debris down on a section of the Copper River Highway, the 12-mile link from the town to the local airport. State transportation officials said a secondary road was opened to two-lane traffic while crews cleared the highway Sunday.

The state also is working on bringing in more heavy equipment to Cordova, which issued a disaster proclamation Friday after three weeks of relentless snow overwhelmed local crews working around the clock and filled snow dump sites.

"We had no alternative but to declare an emergency," Cordova Mayor Jim Kallander said. "It became a life-safety issue."

Another storm that started Saturday also brought rain, which soaked into the snow, weighing it down.

Classes will begin later than usual Monday, but officials said students should go only if parents are comfortable with them venturing out.

Some roads have been cleared, but officials say residents also are being creative, traveling on foot and by skis and snowshoes.

The National Weather Service said the snow depth at the airport measured 59 inches before the rain fell, weighing the level down to 47 inches. Monday is supposed to be clear before another system moves in Tuesday, bringing more snow and rain, as well as winds as strong as 40 mph.

Gun Powder & Lead!!!

sooo I told my husband today that I want to learn to shoot, and filled him in on the recent story that happened here earlier in the week...I got a very surprised reaction, and could hardly believe something like that was coming from someone like me....So it's going to be between a shot gun and a hand gun learning off of them both...I hope I never have to do that, but with people getting more and more desperate nowadays, I wouldn't want to be where I didn't know...I just have a small deal of pepper spray in a pink decorated up keychain holder thing..not very much...the most that ever does is burn and sting..I should know cause it got on me before when I was testing it out...NOT A GOOD FEELING!!! That most likely won't happen until we're settled in our own permanent house, and can go to the gun range, really not my kind of a place either, but going to live from one big city to another I'm willing to go through anything just so I don't ever have to face living in small towns again ever...

This is the first time that I have been able to get on here in the past 2 days...I have nooo idea what has been going on with my yahoo, this blog, or my facebook account, but all 3 of them were completely BLANK, whenever I tried to do anything...I couldn't stand it, and called as many as I could to let them know what was going on with my laptop and that I wasn't like dead or anything..I just couldn't answer any messages, I wasn't getting any, and nothing was showing up...I've got to get my laptop restored and everything wiped out to get it back to normal cause it's like dead now and won't do anything....I was going out of my mind not being able to get on here!!!!! Sooo thrilled to pieces to be able to get on here and talk up a storm again!!!! muuahh!!! take care everyone!!!

3 & 1/2 More Weeks Of Comfort!!!!!!!!!

...Then my life will be turned upside down again, everything will be a total and complete mess, I'll be living in the hotel for about 3 weeks to a month up in Alaska, so I won't have internet...I'll have to go to where they have free internet access and everything will start all over again on me trying to find everything....So I'm trying to enjoy my comfort and everything else while I can!!!! Soooo excited though about moving and getting my own place in about another month!!!!!!!!!! At least I'll be on top of the world and won't have to face 1000 degree summers again like I had to in Okinawa!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year's 2012 everyone!!!! OMG, this has GOT TO BE the most funniest video ever, or ONE of the funniest at least!!! Listen to how this guy starts saying "Orange" whenever he starts getting mad!!!!!!!!! Just don't play it while you are on the phone, and you start die laughing while the other person is wondering if you are laughing at them or something is seriously wrong with you..There is very little that I can keep a straight face to, and making a video like this, where those places can't EVER get ANYTHING right is just too classic and perfect for me!!! Cause when I go ANYWHERE, THEY ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS, GET EVERYTHING OF MINE WRONG!!!!!! That happens to me every time I go ANYWHERE for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, or sometimes all 3, and I don't even touch fast food hardly at all... Last night, they attacked me with the tarter sauce, I hate that stuff, cole slaw, hate that too, some kind of parsely, wouldn't touch that either, so don't give me that kind of junk, and it won't go to waste, cause all I do with it is sling it somewhere far away from me, put it under someone's car tires, or just plain dump it, but that means that I would have to look at it and smell that stuff so I'd much rather torture others with it for giving it to me in the first place whenever I said NOT to!!!!!:D It's at regular restaurants the walk in, and sit down types of places, and they still get stuff wrong, and then I just plain won't touch it...We are going through the videos from Hungary, Romania, Venice, Italy, and a few other places, and on the Hungarian trip, we were on a dinner cruise, and on every one's plate there was a BABY OCTOPUS...poor octopus..I remember I was like starving there in Hungary the whole entire time that I was there..I guess that's why they call that place "Hungary" cause you go hungry the whole time...but no way ever am I ever eating octopus or anything like it or relatively close to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p sick sick sick....LOVE BOTH OF THESE VIDEOS THOUGH!!!!!!!! does anyone wanna do all of the talking, while I do all of the laughing!?!?!?!?!!?! :D xxx :D
