but I'll still never ever be a smoker.... ;)
Interesting how I saw about half of these over in Japan...esp. the toilet ones...Another one I am still looking for is when we were at one of the parks there, and they were selling food there nothing I would go near, and one was snow cones...Japanese don't know how to spell English words very well, or spell them how they sound, and put SNOW CORN...They really don't pronouce their "R's" over there...lol both of the other videos sound like something that I would do...oh I noticed that I already do a few of them.... :D
OMG, I FINALLY found out what this stupid word meant..I keep hearing Americans use this in sentences, and I had nooooooooo idea what they were talking about..What a bunch of stupid followers they are...One person says it, then others pick up on it, then everyone is saying it...I've even heard it on tv shows that I watch now, yes they're in English!!!!! and I heard someone argue something saying "no it's not boo, come on..." then the other girl argued back "umm yes it is boo.." that was last week, and I'm still busting out laughing about it...I'm not good at picking up on new slang at all, but it's different every year...people kept talking that way to me back in Japan, and I honestly didn't know what they were saying when they used that...pretty stupid...oh wow that was just funny hearing people argue like that calling each other boo... I've never heard that for a name for someone...I will try and find the clip or the episode that I'm talking about...It's just too funny to forget about...I'm just glad that I found out what it meant..I was sick of being left in the dark...
"boo is a term that is derived from the French word "beau" meaning beautiful. In 18th century England it meant an admirer, usually male. It made it's way into Afro-Caribean language perhaps through the French colonisation of some Caribean islands.
Now meaning girl or boyfriend
"this is what I'm saying boo, it's all about you"
1) Boyfriend or girlfriend. Term of endearment.
2) A loud, abrupt yell, meant to frighten someone.
3) A sound made to indicate disapproval, the opposite of "yay."
1- Some Guy: "Hey boo."
2- Ghost: "BOOO!"
3- Unhappy Audience: "Booooooo...."
okay, I HAVE to tell this to someone else so that I can shut up and stop laughing about it and finally get to bed...We went to dinner last night, and then this family with 4 kids came and sat directly next to us..I didn't have a prob with it cause I was almost sure that one of them would do something funny...it was awhile and there was a 2 year old little girl directly next to me..my husband had on a pair of those military sun glasses..they are shaped different than normal sunglasses, all black, completely boring, and definately way different than mine which are all pink including the lenses.. :D She was pretty smart to pick up on that and was old enough to start identifying objects...then she started saying..."oooh Army Glasses..." over and over and pointing...we're Air Force..not Army..there is also Army here but they are complete opposite end....I was laughing too hard I couldn't even finish dinner and nearly made myself sick and had to get up and leave completely before people started wondering what was wrong with me putting my head to the wall or in my hands and coming back up with my face completely red to get more air...I guess that I'm the only one who thought it was funny cause no one else seemed to laugh about it...I"ll put a pic of those things on here so everyone will know what I'm talking about and can get a laugh too...just look at those things awhile and think of that saying and you will most likely start laughing...I think everything's funny so it doesn't take much...now hopefully I can get some sleep since it's after 4am here in Alaska...waiting to ride the dog sleds here soon!!!!!!!!!! (kinda sorta like this...same shape and all..I have no idea how one is different that the other but this is just to give everyone an idea..maybe I'm the only one who finds humour in that sort of thing....
